Alimed Extra-Wide Wheelchair Armrest

This extended armrest accommodates patients with upper extremity edema, flaccidity, or increased tone without the usual risk of skin tears associated with many trays and troughs. It allows the arm to bear weight in a normal position without locking arm into a static position and allows user to shift positions in chair without risk of damage to arm and shoulder. The Extra-Wide Armrest provides added arm support without increasing armrest height. For small-framed patients, place armrest in the opposite configuration to provide upper extremity support and avoid side leaning.
